Barbara oversees all accounting and reporting for the Schnitzer West portfolio and other properties under management. She has significant experience in designing sophisticated accounting infrastructures and reporting processes, as well as implementing uniform accounting processes and procedures. After joining Schnitzer West in 2001, Barbara led the company through a major accounting system redesign and conversion to integrate accounting records with the financial analysis and valuations central to the company's unique approach to real estate.
Previously, Barbara served as Vice President/Controller at Shorenstein Realty Services in San Francisco, where she was responsible for accounting, treasury, payroll and reporting for a large portfolio of properties and related legal entities. Prior to that, she was the controller at Genstar Container Corporation/G.E. Capital Corporation. She began her career at Arthur Anderson LLP, where she worked for nine years.
Barbara holds a B.S. in business administration with an emphasis in accounting from the University of Nevada at Reno. She is also a certified public accountant (license inactive).
